Nick and Ashley are at the NEXT conference in Baltimore. They have only been gone one night, but already I miss them. How will I ever last while Ashley is in Guatemala? Lord, please help me to see that, even though I can't go myself, saying goodbye to my daughter for two months is one way that I can serve these orphans.

For the past week, we have had Oliver and Valentina Lanz with us from Switzerland. It has been fun to get to know them! We hope to visit them one day ...

Time to Start Blogging Again

Well, it's been over a year since my last post! Guess you could say I'm not the most consistent blogger! But, I'm slowly learning the benefits of blogging and that it's a great place just to write your thoughts, even if you don't have pictures! So I hope to blog more frequently in the future.

Just writing that word - "hope" - reminds me of the excellent series the senior pastor at our church is leading us through right now - A Living Hope.
