Photography Girl

What's Ash up to? Well, if she gets a free moment, chances are you can find her with a camera in her hand! She loves to take photos of any and everything Some of my favorites are her nature pictures. They are so beautiful! She also has a good eye for detail and for capturing fun. Next year will be her senior year in high school and she hopes to take a photography class at the local community college.

She's currently using the family camera but saving her pennies for her own! A Nikon, I think.

See what I mean about detail? I would never have thought to take pictures of my shoes!

The girl.

Some of the fun she captures!

Fall School Changes

Not only has Nick started college at the University of Maryland School of Engineering, College Park, but Evan is attending sixth grade full-time at Covenant Life School this year. After being homeschooled all his life, this is a big adjusment for Evan, but he loves it! Already he is getting better at remembering how to administrate all his belongings. He has his own locker (and has to remember the combination) and travels from class to class (rather than just stay in one room with one teacher, like the 1st-5th graders do).

Harvest Party

Each year, our church puts on a Harvest Party for all the younger kids. The kids play many fun games for candy in numerous rooms throughout the church. The teens in the youth ministry serve at all the games for the little kids. Two years ago Amy (aged 6) was a bride. I used my sister Pam's old high school graduation dress as a costume. And Evan (aged 9) was an Elf from Lord of the Rings. Can't wait for this year's party!

Amy's Eighth Birthday

On her eighth birthday this year (June 11th) Amy used some of her birthday money to get her ears pierced. Here she is before the procedure - so excited!

OOOH! That HURTS!

Whew! I made it!
